I don’t get why anyone would use discretionary ligatures. It seems to me that it’s more of a way of saying “O HAI, I KNOW TYPOGRAPHY” than anything else. I guess if you’re setting an archaic, historical mood, it might be appropriate, but a book about typography should know better. Right?

De website html zou ook wat re-thinking kunnen gebruiken denk ik. En wat betreft de ligatures heb je gelijk. Het maakt alles zo over dramatisch vind ik. En ook moeilijker leesbaar.
